Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the most common topics. If something is still unclear, use the support form.
Account & sign-in
You can sign in with email and password, Apple or Google. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
With OAuth (Apple/Google) no separate Kreise password is stored. Sign-in goes through the respective provider.
If you sign out, your circles and content remain on the server — you can sign in again anytime.
Circles, invites & roles
A circle is your shared group — e.g. family, class or team. You can add members via invite link.
Roles control who can create events, upload documents or manage the circle. The creator of a circle can also delete it.
Invites are personalised: the email used when joining should match the invite, otherwise joining may be rejected.
Kreise Pro & subscription
Kreise Pro raises limits: more circles, more members per circle, more documents, more storage and more AI extractions per month.
One member with Kreise Pro per circle is enough — the higher limits then apply to the whole circle. Not every member needs their own subscription.
Subscriptions are handled via the Apple App Store. Buy, cancel and restore under iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or in the app under Settings.
Receipts are issued by Apple, not by us. For subscription issues, “Restore purchases” in the app often helps.
Documents & AI event detection
Per circle you can upload photos, PDFs and other files — e.g. school notes or invitations.
AI extraction analyses a document and suggests events. You review each suggestion before anything is added to the calendar.
The number of AI requests per month depends on your plan (Free vs Pro). You can correct or ignore wrong detections before saving.
Calendar & events
Events can be one-off or recurring (weekly, biweekly, monthly) — including all-day events spanning several days.
Calendar view shows the selected month; list view shows upcoming events chronologically. Past events can optionally be shown.
Individual occurrences in a series can be moved or skipped without deleting the whole series.
Push notifications
Push messages inform you about new events or invites — only if you allow them on the device (iOS or Android).
Check the system settings for Kreise (iOS: Settings → Kreise → Notifications; Android: app notifications in system settings). In the app you can further limit notification types.
Without push permission the app still works; you’ll see updates the next time you open it.
Privacy & account deletion
Details are in our privacy policy.
For access, correction or deletion of your data, use the support form with topic “Privacy & data deletion”.
You can delete circles or remove your account in the app under Settings (where available) — otherwise we’ll help via support.
